At the Esperanza for Life™ Center and Veterinary Clinic, we are often asked whether we provide free veterinary services.
The answer is simple: our mission is social impact, not free services.
The Esperanza for Life™ Center is owned and operated by the Theodora von Auersperg (TvA) International Foundation as a Social Impact Ecosystem.
Every service provided helps sustain our charitable mission.
Net proceeds are reinvested directly into the Foundation’s initiatives, supporting animal welfare, community outreach, education, and the continued development of the Esperanza for Life™ movement.
One of our core priorities is addressing the challenge of stray and abandoned animals through responsible, humane, and sustainable solutions.
Our sterilization program for stray animals is therefore offered on a cost-recovery basis, making these essential services as accessible as possible while ensuring that the program itself remains sustainable over the long term.
At the same time, we believe it is important to recognize a simple truth:
No single organization, municipality, veterinary clinic, or nonprofit foundation can solve the issue of stray animals alone.
The overpopulation of stray animals is a community challenge that requires a community response.
It calls for responsible pet ownership, education, collaboration between citizens, veterinarians, municipalities, rescue organizations, businesses, and public institutions, as well as compassion and shared responsibility.
The Esperanza for Life™ Center represents one important step in that journey—not the entire solution.
Our role is to demonstrate what is possible, build partnerships, inspire responsible action, and develop a model that communities can strengthen and expand together.
Real and lasting change happens when we all become part of the solution.
Together, we can build healthier communities by strengthening the relationship between animals, people, and nature.
